Crescendo in una città che millenariamente ha subito dominazioni di ogni tipo e dove hanno convissuto culture radicalmente diverse tra di loro, non potevo non amare gli stranieri.
Ho sempre visto i turisti come il Messiah per i credenti.
Ho frequentato per anni casa di Dario D’Arcangelo, un ex-pilota di aerei di linea poliglotta che il mondo lo ha girato per lungo e per largo.
Abitante in un appartamento di quasi 200 mq a Via La Spezia, vicino la centrale Basilica di San Giovanni a Roma, ha sempre ospitato amici ed amici di amici da ogni parte del mondo.
L’aria in quella casa è molto rilassata.
Ricordo le colazioni luculliane in cui parlavamo sempre con amici da ogni dove e sempre in una lingua diversa.
Dario è talmente amante della compagnia che, adottando due gatti, ha scelto due siberiani, perché unici gatti a non avere l’enzima che provoca allergie all’uomo.
Ogni ospite ha sempre condiviso volentieri le proprie avventure o peculiarità culturali ed abitudinarie.
Ed è sempre stato avido di informazioni su Roma e gli italiani.
Data la grandezza dell’abitazione, la posizione centrale, e la predisposizione personale, Dario ha ben pensato di modificare casa propria e tramutarla in Bed and Breakfast.
Da bravo ambientalista, ha predisposto durante i lavori la canalizzazione per l’impianto di pannelli solari ed offrirà un servizio di noleggio bici, per far godere i turisti anche degli angoli più reconditi della città, e per fare godere la sua Roma di aria più pulita.
Il Bed and breakfast non è solo Turist-friendly, ma anche Gay-friendly.
Io sono convinto che il 95spezie è in assoluto il posto più accogliente per passare un soggiorno, sia mini che maxi, a Roma!

I always saw tourists as the Messiah for the believers. I hung out for years at Dario D’Arcangelo’s home, a polyglot, ex- airliner pilot that has toured the world far and wide.
Living in an apartment of almost 200 square meters in Via La Spezia, near the central Basilica of San Giovanni in Rome, he has always hosted friends and friends of friends from all over the world.
The air in the house is very relaxed.
I remember the lavish breakfast where we always talked with friends from everywhere and always in different languages.
Dario is so fond of company that when adopting two cats, he chose two Siberians, because they are the only cats that do not have the enzyme that causes allergies to humans.
Each guest has always willingly shared his adventures or cultural characteristics and habits. His guests are always eager for information about Rome and Italians.
Because of the size of the apartment, the central location, and personal predisposition, Dario has well thought to transform his own home into a Bed and Breakfast.
As a good environmentalist, he has developed channeling system of solar panels while working and also offers bike rental service for tourists to enjoy even the most hidden corners of the city, and to make his Rome enjoy cleaner air.
The B & B is not just Tourist-friendly, but also Gay-friendly.
I am convinced that the 95spezie is by far the most pleasant place to spend a maxi or even mini holiday in Rome!
